corteza patagonica
Handsculpted ceramics. Slowly produced in her studio in Buarcos.
What began as a personal exploration quickly evolved into a full-time practice, where she now both creates her own collections and teaches ceramics to others in her studio.
Her work is primarily hand-sculpted, giving each piece a unique, expressive character. She also works with the pottery wheel, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary, artistic approach. The result is a body of work that feels playful, soft, and modern, often inspired by flowers, ocean textures, and natural shapes.
Each ceramic piece by Corteza Patagónica is one of a kind, shaped by hand and guided by intuition. Subtle asymmetries, gentle curves, and tactile surfaces are intentional elements of her process, highlighting the human touch behind every object.
Through her ceramics, Corteza invites a sense of warmth, curiosity, and connection to the natural world — bringing small, handcrafted moments of beauty into everyday life.
Corteza Patagónica is a ceramic artist from Argentina, now based in Buarcos on the Portuguese atlantic coast.
